Career Highlights
I used to be an equestrian during my grade school through college years. I was overall grand equitation and hunter champion for 3 years in a row. I turned Pro with the Ifbb at the 2001 USA championhsips in Las Vegas on July 27, 2001. I was featured in the March 2001 issue of Oxygen magazine "Brainy Bunch" discussing my Ph.D. and my career as a college anatomy and physiology professor. I also wrote an anatomy article for Women's Fitness International where they used my photos to accompany the article I wrote.

Why did you become interested in fitness?
I first became interested in bodybuilding and fitness when i was in high school. I used to by muslce & fitness magazine and see pictures of Cory, Tonya Knight and Rachael and i wanted to look like them. I started training when I was a senior in high school, but really got into it during my junior year of college. I began thinking about competitng when I graduated from college and finally put my words into action at the 1998 europa Fitness championships. I won the overall!!

What other physical activities do you enjoy to stay fit?
I still love to ride horses, although I really do not have any free time to ride. I like to go mountain biking or run on the beach with my dog "Molson".

What are your goals within the fitness industry?
I hope to compete as a pro for about 2-3 years, and do well. After competing is over, I have thought about the idea of getting into judging at a higher level. i currently judge at the state level for the NPC, but I would love to judge nationally. I would also love to write for the magazines on physiology and training.
