Career Highlights
I have won several beauty contests and started doing fitness modeling two years ago. I have been in several magazines including MuscleMag, Covermodels, Rocky Mountain Fitness, and the Weekly World News. I also plan on doing a fitness competition in the future, I want to do something that brings out my very competitive spirit! I want to do it for the challenge. I love to win!!!!

I have shot with Michael Scott and Michael Stycket. I have upcoming photo shoots with Rob Sims and Jim Amentler in California. I am shooting for the swimsuit and lingerie issue of MuscleMag. This will happen around the third week of October 2001.

Why did you become interested in fitness?
In November of 1995 I weighed 200 lbs. I felt so horrible. I couldn't walk up a flight of stairs without being out of breath. I decided it was time to take control of my life. I started kickboxing and weightlifting. It took me around a year to lose the weight, and by that time I had the desire to teach. I wanted to look the part so I really concentrated on lifting weights. I worked really hard and became an instructor.

I also do Jeet kune Do, which is a very popular form of self-defense that was taught by Bruce Lee. I also do Kali, which is a weapons class that deals with sticks and knives. I love martial arts, it gives you so much confidence and inner strength. I have changed into the person I am today because of it, and the strong will to have a healthly and active life. I am happier today than I have ever been in my life!!!!!!

What other physical activities do you enjoy to stay fit?
When I am not in one of my martial art classes I like to run and lift weights. I make sure that I lift at least 3 days per week.

What are your goals within the fitness industry?
I want to be a role model for people. I want everyone to understand that you can acheive any goal. I feel that I have a deep understanding of what it is like to be on both sides of the fence. I know how it is to be a very overweight individual and how it is to lead an active lifestyle.

I also know that it is very hard to start a workout program. Being healthy is not something that you can do for six months out of the year, it has to be a lifetime commitment. My clients ask me what makes the biggest difference in their goal to be fit, and I say that it is being consistent.
