Why did you become interested in fitness?
Being fit has always been a very important part of my life. I started gymnastics, dance, and cheerleading at a very young age. I was a collegiate cheerleader at the University of Tennessee and staying fit was a MUST!! After college, I really missed competiting so I saw fitness as another avenue to compete and stay in shape!!

What other physical activities do you enjoy to stay fit?
I teach gymnastics and cheerleading classes about 15 hours a week. I enjoy taking gymnastics, kickboxing, and step classes.

What are your goals within the fitness industry?
As Fitness America Champion, my goal this year is to make people more aware of fitness so they will become more health conscious. There are so many teenagers in today's society that are overweight. They need to put exercise and eating healthy in their life's now. It not only affects their bodies but also their self-esteem!

Additional Notes
My goals to live by are..

  • "The only limitations we have are the ones we put on ourselves."
  • "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" - Philippians 4:13
