Why
did you become interested in fitness?
I have always been involved in athletics, so when I was recruited
in 1998 at a Model and Talent Convention to compete in Fitness
Competitions, it just made sense. I would love to use my talents
to teach others the importance of healthy living.
When
did you first start working out?
I was involved in ballet at the age of 5 and moved into gymnastics
at the age of 6. I learned a lot about conditioning from my gymnastics
training. As I got older I became involved in Track and Field,
Basketball, Tennis and Softball. I began lifting weights in High
School for Track, and learned a lot more about weight training
and plyometrics from my collegiate Tennis experience as well as
a Nautilus Class I took in College. In 1998 when I got recruited
to compete in fitness competitions, I started my own work out
program and have been refining my training techniques ever since.
What
other physical activities do you enjoy to stay fit?
I enjoy running with my puppy, Kaiya, and doing plyometrics the
best!! I also play tennis and swim every once in a while. I would
really love to have enough time to work these activities into
my regular work out routine. Other than that, I'll play a game
of pick-up basketball or co-ed softball to stay active. I also
"try" to roller blade every once in a while.

Additional Notes
I love motivational sayings. When the going gets tough, these
little sayings have kept me motivated: "I can do all things
through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13. "Some
people dream of success…while others wake up and work hard
at it." "Endurance isn't just "working hard."
Endurance is when you get to the point where you know you can't
go anymore…and then you go harder!"
I
would also like to thank my family and friends for all of their
prayers, love and support.
