I am a sponsored athlete by FITNESS WORLD and I am also an Aerobic Instructor at their Surrey and Langley locations. I have been with Fitness World for 5 years and plan to become a Personal Trainer at the Surrey location. I have been in many of their ads ie: TV news Week, Georgia Straight, The Sun and Province and on their web site www.fitnessworld.ca. Fitness World is my second family and they are responsible for my many achievements. I was once a member and because of the high rate of successful employees that compete in either bodybuilding or fitness, they inspired me. I am also a member of the Lean Motion Fitness Team managed by Sandra Wickham, also someone close to me who has inspired me as well.

I just won the title WNBF Worlds Pro Ms Exercise in New York and now a Fitness Model for Muscle Marketing USA.

Why did you become interested in fitness?
I am a mother to three children, 15 yrs, 7yrs and 2 yrs old. I wanted to make a good role model to them showing self discipline and teach them how to go after your dreams. I also want to inspire other woman who have had children or who have been overweight. As an aerobic instructor, I have heard many excuses to why woman can't lose weight. I have experienced each of these excuses personally.

For example: I am in my thirties, I have children, I also work full time and I have been at least 20 pounds or more overweight after pregnancies. I taught aerobics up to three days before I delivered my last child. So I don't agree with the saying, I can't do that!" You can only if you have a plan and you start today, because tomorrow never comes!

I would especially like to Thank and give high regards to My Trainer, Lara Temereski, as well as my Aerobic Supervisor, Susan Manning. They have been an inspiration and good friend to me since the beginning of competing in Fitness.

When did you first start working out?
I have been working out since high school. I was into soccer and rugby for 12 years and I started dong aerobics at 15 years old. I began to teach just 5 years ago and I have now been weight training for two years. I love it and I could never stop.

What other physical activities do you enjoy to stay fit?
I am also an avid slalom water-skier and wake boarder. I have been enjoying water sports all of my life. I used to belong to the Vancouver Water-ski Club in Bidwell Bay, North Vancouver. Unfortunately, I have been too busy to go so I have let my member ship go.

What are your goals within the fitness industry?
I am going to be competing at the Worlds in New York City on Sept. 21/02 and hope to place top three, if not I will keep going back until I succeed. I also plan to own my own Hair Salon as I am also a certified hairstylist/color technician.

Additional Notes
Those who strive to succeed and work hard to get there, will do just that!
