Why did you become interested in fitness?
I was in love with weight training and the gym before fitness ever came along. I used to look up to the female and male bodybuilders, but didn't want to look as big as them. While backpacking overseas, I stopped for awhile in Brisbane, Australia. The proprietor of the gym I was training at suggested I enter a fitness contest. It was only 5 weeks away-he helped me with my diet, I worked on my routine myself, and placed second in Queensland, Australia. I instantly became hooked!

When did you first start working out?
I first started lifting weights in the off-season for track and field. I discovered how much it helped improve my track season, and I loved building my physique. I also found I was usually the only woman surrounded by men in the weight room and thought, "what a great sport!"

What other physical activities do you enjoy to stay fit?
Yoga, hiking, snowboarding.

What are your goals within the fitness industry?
I would like to continue to motivate, inspire and coach new girls to enter fitness and figure competitions with my seminars and one to one training. I would like to continue to compete, learn, improve and make my way up the ranks to the top fitness athletes.
