Career Highlights
During 1999, I competed in three Swedish national fitness competitions. However, I was too hard and vascular for fitness (people told me to go in for bodybuilding), so therefore I did not place in top three.

Why did you become interested in fitness?
I became interested in weight training during the time when I only trained aerobics, and had to pass by the weight room to get to my aerobic classes. I began reading bodybuilding magazines and books, tried out the weights, and I got caught.

When did you first start working out?
When I was 14 years old.

What other physical activities do you enjoy to stay fit?
Apart from strength training and cardio on stairmaster/cycle, I enjoy aerobics and dancing. I have danced since childchoold, and as a teenager I used to windsurf. Realizing that Sweden is not a "paradise" for windsurfers, in combination with that I wanted to get a solid academic education which took all my time, I had to give the windsurfing up. I enjoy gardening (which is also good fat-burning) and being in nature.

What are your goals within the fitness industry?
To be a good role model known for having both "guts and brains" (please see additional notes). My wish is to combine training and fitness competitions with own academic research and product development of dietary supplement for bodybuilding, fitness and health.

Additional Notes
Since childhood I have always prioritised my education and dreamed after an academic degree. After having realized as a teenager the importance of good nutrition for successful progress in training and well-being, I realized I wanted to learn everything about the relationship between physical activity, performance, health and nutrition. I therefore decided to opt for an academic degree in nutrition, and I presently study nutrition at the Stockholm's University / Karolinska Institute. I will finish my Nutritionist studies in the middle of 2004, and thereby I will have a Master of Science, MSc in nutrition. Thereafter I would like to devote my time for academic research towards a PhD in nutrition and product development of dietary supplement for bodybuilding, fitness and health. This in combination (if possible!) with training for future competitions in fitness. Through future academic research, I would like to contribute to development of the dietary supplement industry in right direction. Even though I have become known for my legs and glutes after the Fitness competitions in '99, I prefer in the future to become famous because of my brains. Besides, why not having it both!!!

Since 2000 I have regularly published articles, scientific reports and answered questions on nutrition in the Swedish bodybuilding magazine B&K Sports Magazine. I am also presently writing a book about the importance of dietary fats for maximal athletic performance and optimal health and well-being, which I will call "The Dietary Fat Horror - beyond all myths and misconceptions for maximal health and performance".

As a character I am very stubborn and do what I believe is best, no matter what others around me think or say. If I have decided to do something, I wont let anything stop me. My friends describe me as extremely honest, ambitious and targetminded (målinriktad).

When not studying and training, I like gardening, sewing (both clothes and curtain arrangements) and decorating my apartment,. I am very interested in architecture and home furnishing/ interior decoration.
