Highlights
I have participated in numerous Karate and Jiu-Jitsu tournaments
with multiple winnings in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in fighting and
forms. The past year I have been in two fitness competitions placing
4th and 2nd.
Why
did you become interested in fitness?
I always admired the fitness competitions on TV and in the magazines.
I never thought I would compete in one since I had no gymnastic
background. When I saw Sylvia Tremblay in Oxygen Mag, I was inspired.
She started gymnastics at 31 years old!! So I thought “Hey!
I can do this too!” Proves it’s never too late to
start something new!
When
did you first start working out?
I first started weight training in 1997 and then gymnastics in
2000.
What
other physical activities do you enjoy to stay fit?
Between gymnastic and weight training I don’t really have
time for other physical activites. But if I did, I would love
to include martial arts in my curriculum once again and even start
up ballroom & latin dancing!
What
are your goals within the fitness industry?
My original goals were to discipline myself to stay in shape and
learn my body. I have reached that goal and now I’d like
to continue competing in fitness and motivate others!
