Why
did you become interested in fitness?
Fitness has always been my passion and I have always been driven
to compete. Meeting Skip La Cour, two time overall Team Universe
champion, jump started my competition training in 2002.
When
did you first start working out?
I began training seriously for competitions in January of 2002.
I competed in my first competition in September 2002 and won first
place in both the figure and fitness divisions.
What
other physical activities do you enjoy to stay fit?
My physical activities center around weight training and everything
involved in preparing for fitness competitions. I train five days
a week, do cardio seven days a week and train components of my
routine (strength, dance, gymnastics, flexibility) at least four
times a week. A key part of my training is the use of AST Sports
Science supplements and the AST Max-OT Style of Training which
centers on maximum intensity and efficiency in each workout.
What
are your goals within the fitness industry?
My primary goals in fitness are to continually improve my physique
and athletic ability while motivating and sharing my knowledge
with others along the way. My ultimate goal is to get my Pro card
in Figure and I would love to get my Pro Card in Fitness as well.
Additionally, I would like to write for fitness magazines and
eventually open a personal training studio.
