Why
did you become interested in fitness?
I've always been very competitive and after cheerleading and softball
in highschool I needed something to release my competitive edge.
I started working out in college and liked how my body changed
some, getting stronger was sort of an addiction. I started seeing
fitness magazines and decided that would be something I could
do. Bodybuilding was just too boring, you just stand there. Although
I might try it one day. But for now I like the athleticism of
the fitness routine. I like the competition mainly!
When
did you first start working out?
Well I really have only been working out the past 4 years. This
is my 3rd year to compete in 2003. I started lifting weights in
college at the Recreation center, then decided I wanted to get
more serious and moved to Gold's Gym. The recreation center was
just too much of a social scene!
What
other physical activities do you enjoy to stay fit?
I like taebo and running in between weights. But I also like water
skiing, hiking, bike riding and on sunny days....roller blading
is fun too!
What
are your goals within the fitness industry?
I would like to win a major fitness competition someday. Be able
to obtain a little more popularity and possibly get my pro card.
Endorsements or sponserships would be nice too. Making it into
a fitness magazine would be the ultimate goal I think. That would
open up more opportunities for me also. I would like to get certified
to be a trainer soon too. Oh I have been in Oxygen magazine in
the future of fitness last year in May of 2002.
