Why did you become interested in fitness?
Ms. Monica Brant has been my inspiration in fitness. Her physique, her grace, and her determination have spurred me to achieve my best. I wanted to meet her, and I finally did at the 2002 Bodyrock NPC Monica Brant Fitness Classic. She has such a warm and caring personality. She is very supportive of her athletes, taking the time to see that everything is just right for them to compete at their highest potential.

When did you first start working out?
I have been competitive in fitness since 1983. My early passion for dance and gymnastics seemed to lead me naturally to compete in fitness championships. In 1983 I competed in Trinidad’s first National Aerobics Marathon and I came in first place. Over the years I remained active in various athletic and dance-related events. In 1993 I won the Individual Sports Aerobics Championship, also in Trinidad. After the birth of my second child I returned to our Sports Aerobics Championships, placing second in 1995 and in 1996. Fitness competitions were introduced to Trinidad and Tobago in 2000 and I became the country’s first fitness champion. I have continued to train and compete ever since.

What other physical activities do you enjoy to stay fit?
Dancing

What are your goals within the fitness industry?
My dream is to compete in the Arnold Classic and the Fitness Olympia. Earning my IFBB Pro Card this year after winning at 2003 Central American Championship in the Bahamas puts me further along my path. I have the drive and the faith to succeed.

Additional Notes
I am looking forward to competing as a Pro. I do first and foremost give thanks to God for my success. I would like to also thank the people who have supported me in various ways over the years: Mr. R. Williams, Bodyrock Productions Ltd., Steven McAdams, Monica Brant, Ian Adams (my trainer), Julie Williams (my nutritionist), GOLD'S Gym (Salisbury, NC), the IFBB, the CACBBFF, and the TTBBFF. I want to acknowledge the love and assistance of my family and my two children (yes, 2 kids).
I am available for guest appearances, routine choreography, and fitness modeling. Thank you, FitSights.
