Career Highlights
1st place, 2001 Ottawa Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships; 1st place, 2002 Ontario Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships. Proud to be sponsored by Sportlab.

Why did you become interested in fitness?
In my second year of university, I was working at a gym as a receptionist, and saw the third issue of Oxygen... I went out and bought my own copy, then a subscription, and fell in love with the sport! From then on, it was always something that I'd wanted to try, that I thought I'd be good at, and eventually, I decided that if I didn't go for it soon, I never would!

When did you first start working out?
I started working out in my last year of high school, with a $5-a-month gym membership. My best friend and I would go three days a week, and use the stairmaster and some of the machines, just trying to see how much weight we could
lift. The days we didn't work out, we walked home (10 kilometres!)... it became a habit, and I've just never stopped!

What other physical activities do you enjoy to stay fit?
I teach cardio kickbox, power yoga, hi/low, and step aerobics classes, usually all four on a weekly basis. Recreationally, I'm a member of the CFL Renegades Dance Team as well as the NLL Rebels Dance Team, the "Rebelles." I also take gymnastics lessons once a week, and strength train 5 days a week.

What are your goals within the fitness industry?
As a role model, I'd like to see the popularity of the sport grow, as well as the calibre of the athletes. For myself, I have trained, choreographed, and helped with contest preparation of local athletes, as well as being a contest promoter and representing the sport at seminars and workshops; I'd like to continue all of these aspects, and improve my placing on the national stage.

Additional Notes
I am available for seminars, training, choreography, and nutritional consultation. I can be contacted at info@canadianfitnesscompetitor.com.
