Why
did you become interested in fitness?
It was a thing that kind of just happened. I made a decision to
try to get in better shape and thought that weight training would
work for me. And my body started to take shape very quickly. I
loved the results and the feeling that I got and I was hooked.
The bodybuilding shows are a bonus and a challenge. The competitions
give me a goal and something to push me a little harder in the
gym everytime I walk through those doors. I will always train
- it has become a lifestyle and something that I will not give
up - ever!
When
did you first start working out?
I started training in 1993 and 1994 was when I decided to try
a bodybuilding show. I trained hard for one year with a competition
in mind before my first show in 1995.
What
other physical activities do you enjoy to stay fit?
I love lots of out door activities - hiking, swimming, horseback
riding, cycling - pretty much anything except for jumping out
of planes!
What
are your goals within the fitness industry?
I want to be the roll model for up coming bodybuilding competitors
and others that just want to improve their lifestyles. Being natural
since day one has given me lots of recognition and respect. I
would love to be a big main feature in a major magazine someday
and who knows maybe something in the movie industry.
Additional Notes
I am currently seeking sponsorship from a reputable company. I
have been in this industry for many years and a sponsor will see
returns.
Oh
- and of course I want to thank my mom and family for always being
there. And a big thank you to the great people of the Canadian
Bodybuilding Federation (CBBF), Ontario Physique Association (OPA)
- (you know who you are!). Garry Bartlett and Doug Schneider
- thanks for your support!
