2nd place - Hawaiian Tropic Hawaii Finalist 2001, Bayfest Hawaii
1st runner-up - National Homemade Bikini Contest 2001
Why
did you become interested in fitness?
Years back I'd attend bodybuilding/physique shows and got to the
point where people repetitively where asking me, "Why aren't
you competing?" I finally got up enough courage to prepare
myself for my first show. I trained seriously hard, learned proper
nutrition/dieting techniques, and got my stage presence and quarter
turns down to a tee. It all paid off when I took a title for not
only my first show, but my second too! If you set your mind to
it, it's achievable! But it don't come easy, it's hard work!
After
my first competition, Miss Designer Body, I was asked out for
a photo shoot by a photographer I admire, Rob Sims. He's the most
wonderful man to shoot with and he captures me in a way I never
thought could be. After submitting my photos to magazines, I ended
up in MuscleMag and Natural Muscle. These were magazines I had
always looked through, and wished that I too could be in. With
the help of Rob Sims and Robert Kennedy my dreams are now coming
true!
I'm competing in the Nationals in New York and trying to earn
my pro card this year. I would love to stand on the Arnold and
Olympia stage and compete as a pro figure competitor one day
soon.
When
did you first start working out?
10 years ago. I've trained "correctly" for 8 of those!
It's so important to learn proper technique and use a workout
plan designed specifically for you.
What
other physical activities do you enjoy to stay fit?
I enjoy bodyboarding, inline skating, and dancing. But nothing
compares to pumping iron in the gym and getting in some good cardio
sessions to really get you fit!
What
are your goals within the fitness industry?
My main goal is to get sponsored by a major supplement company.
I will keep marketing myself and competing in physique shows to
keep my face out there and familiar. I have the drive and passion
to excel in this industry and be an excellent role model for others
wanting to reach their full potential.
I
would also love to appear in a wide mix of fitness related magazines.
I want to shoot with several photographers to get a wide variety
of looks and get the most exposure I can.
Additional Notes
Available for sponsorship, bikini/fitness/lingerie modeling,
calendars, promotions, booths at bodybuilding shows, gym clothesline
modeling, and ads. I'm currently seeking sponsorships from major
supplement companies. I have the drive and passion to excel in
this industry and be an excellent role model for others wanting
to reach their full potential.
