What makes Vegas such a great
place for the Olympia?

Photos and text by Kyla Brown

Debi Laszewski
Heading out to the Olympia from Florida, Debi was caught up by the infectious energy in Vegas... and we agreed in the simple accuracy of "it’s Vegas!"

Amber Goetz
Surprisingly... Amber was the very first person to mention the "G" word in her answer - GAMBLING! Hello? Anybody going to comment on the Gambling in Vegas? Amber did, and chimed in another big one, the party scene .. which she felt was much better than the ones at the Arnold in Ohio.

Allison Ley & Lauren VanCleave
Two fresh faces to the Olympia scene, these girls were first-timers and felt a little overwhelmed by Las Vegas and the show... but were quick to add that they were both having a ton of fun!

Jeannie Paparone
Being a Las Vegas local is pretty nice when a show like the Olympia comes to town. Jeannie expressed her excitement about the growing fitness scene and the increased number of Pro’s coming into Vegas.

Kathy Feldman
Kathy likes the clubs and after parties just as much as the next girl, but the $100.00 she had won the night before was making Vegas look pretty good!

Charlie Goodnough
Once again I found the bright lights of Vegas described as "full of life". Charlie was all about the festivities surrounding the unbeatable location of the Olympia. Describing the people as "up", I didn’t quite get the sense of that energy until I ventured out later that evening. Thinking back the next morning.. I understood the fervor encircling this show.

Natalie Stratton
"It’s Vegas!!!" She burst, and I felt a little foolish, because really, did she need to say more? Natalie offered additional insight as she described the magical touch of Vegas’ fingers, which somehow loosen up even the most tense individuals. Everything edgy becomes giddy and fun - who can deny the twinkling lights of the strip?

Bryce & Laura Lewis
Bryce was especially excited about the great food. Laura talked about Vegas’ ability to draw people from all over the world, which give the sport great exposure! Perhaps a few new bodybuilders and fitness competitors have been inspired by the amazing level of discipline and success displayed by the Olympians this year!

Lisa Reed
Catching the excited fever that is undeniably Las Vegas, Lisa described it as a city full of "life," with endless possibilities for fun. A party that Lisa doesn’t ever miss.

Desiree Ellis

When I spotted Desiree, whom I had met before in Vancouver, I knew she’d have some thoughts on Vegas. Des felt that the biggest plus was all of things you can do in between the competitions and the expo. "Vegas is so much fun!!!"
