What
makes Vegas such a great
place for the Olympia?

Cassandra
Floyd Cassandra was the first person
who I approached with my question about the Olympia in
Vegas. She was definite
in her passion for the Women’s Bodybuilding...
with the competition fast approaching, there was excitement
in the air.
Rachel Moore
Wandering down the isles of the Expo I was attracted by the
brightly backlit images at Muscle Tech. Rachel was huge on
the weather in Vegas... a far cry from the chilly atmosphere
at the Arnold... a girl needn’t drag along lumpy sweaters
and jackets, unless you’re eating in Raffles Cafe. (Note:
next year bring sweater for extended meals at Mandalay Bay)
Kelly
Mulligan The fact that it’s so close
to home seems to be a big plus for a lot of my interviewees.
Kelly also noted that, "Las
Vegas is a crazy town to go with a crazy sport!"
Monica Chang
Maneuvering my way past a guy doing pullups at the Pinnacle
booth, I asked Monica my question. She loves the Olympia
in Vegas for all of the people who come out for it... I noted
that it was early in the first day of the expo... wondering
how she’d be feeling by the end of Saturday night.
Loretta Lynn
The very first local that I’d come across, Loretta was excited about the
growth of the fitness scene in Vegas. "It’s like a small L.A.," she
stated. Having relocated to Sin City for the fitness community, she’s thrilled
with the continued success of the Olympia in Las Vegas.
Valentina Chepiga
This former Miss Olympia loves the entertainment available
with the Vegas location.. and of course Valentina’s
favorite is the bodybuilding!
Kat Meyers
As attractive as the short plane ride is for Kat, she’s
even more impressed by the aspect of endless fun which surrounds
every party in Las Vegas. It seems like a girl might have
to make an effort to avoid fun times at this years Olympia!
Collette Flack
I found Collette balancing a teetering tray of samples in
amongst the crowd. She felt that Vegas was so great because
of it’s ability to exist as a "Non-stop Party" where
there is soooo much more to do beyond the Olympia.
Angie Fernwault
Angie took a moment to consider my question... searching
carefully for the perfect phrase to encompass everything
that she was feeling. "All the eye-candy!" And
we both smiled.
Pasi Schalin
Pasi loves having the Olympia in Vegas because of all of
the great exposure. He gets to meet great people while enjoying
all of the wonderful things to do in the city. The shows
at night and the exciting places to hang out all add up to
make Vegas a great spot to be.
Christina
Lindley & Brandy Dahl
These girl’s offered the shortest yet most loaded answer
I had heard all day. "It’s Sin City... it’s
acceptable sin!" I couldn’t help but wonder if
the root of all the energy stemmed from that statement.
Cynthia Bridges
Obviously a regular at the Olympia, Cynthia loves coming
out to Vegas so that she can reconnect with "fitness
friends" and meet interesting people from all over the
world.
