Career
Highlights
I will be on the cover of Muscular Development Magazine (July
2002 issue) next month. I will be featured inside the magazine
as well. I am really excited about that because it has been my
dream to have my photos published in fitness magazines. I played
"Summer" of the Beach Patrol on a syndicated tv show
called W.O.W. (Women of Wrestling) and I was in the Diet Dr. Pepper
"Green Bay Watch" commercial.
Why
did you become interested in fitness?
I first became interested in fitness as a child. I had the worst
time back then! I was teased and called "monkey lips".
My mother, though, told me not to worry, that full lips were "in"
and one day I would be on the cover of Vogue. Well, she was right
about the cover. It just happens to be Muscular Development instead
of Vogue, which is fine in my book. I always dreamed of being
one of the girls in the fitness magazines. They seemed so strong
and untouchable, when as a little girl I felt so powerless.
When
did you first start working out?
I started working out after a life-changing visit to Canyon Ranch.
While I was there, I quit smoking cigarettes cold turkey. I always
gained weight (definitely not a good thing when you are a model)
when I quit smoking so I was afraid to quit. I decided to make
a commitment to myself that I would replace that vice for a healthier
habit. I've been hitting the gym ever since.
What
other physical activities do you enjoy to stay fit?
Kickboxing, swimming, snowboarding, horseback riding, hiking,
running on the beach, & candlelight yoga.
What
are your goals within the fitness industry?
To become a well known fitness model.
