Photo Finish - Melissa Deal

Ahhh.. Spring is in the air. Well, in theory it is, according to the calendar, but it sure didn't feel like it at my shoot with Melissa Deal this evening. Let me just put it this way, when all the tourists walking around are wearing coats, its not a good sign.. consider they are probably visiting from somewhere thats a whole lot colder most of the time. Nevertheless, Melissa was super cool to work with and pushed through the temperature obstacles, and held off an invasion of goosebumps for the majority of our shoot.

The sun peeked through at times, which made it difficult to maintain balance light-wise, but I think we both welcomed its arrival. Speaking of peeking, Melissa drew quite a crowd of onlookers and was greeted by a round of applause at the conclusion of our shoot. The funniest part was a helicopter who went WAY out of his way to swing by and hover over our shoot briefly to get a better look.

So as you can see, Melissa is a beautiful girl who has an equally fun and sweet personality. She hasn't done many shoots in the past, but I have a feeling that will change very shortly — because at the very least, I hope to shoot with her more (in a warmer setting, hopefully). Not only is she somewhat new to modeling, but she just made her debut on the figure stage was well, placing second in a very competitive tall class at the 2007 NPC San Diego.
