Photo Finish

While March may have brought its traditional doldrums, April has been a pretty productive month for FitSights. With a couple of shoots under the belt already, some video projects underway, and an upcoming — and hopefully fruitful — trip to the Emerald Cup later this week, we're hoping to make up for the previous slow month.

After a weekend full of shoots, I figured it would only be right to share a few photos with everyone. The photo you see above is Gina Aliotti, whom you already know of if you've read this blog before. The reason I pimp Gina so much is because in the 8 years I've been working with competitors on websites, she has shown more effort and enthusiasm towards her site than just about anyone outside of the true Web Master — Heather Lee. And that's saying alot.

Below is a glimpse of a studio shoot I conducted, and yes, that's the star of MTV's Date My Mom — Vanessa van Overmeer. I've shot with Vanessa more than anyone on this planet, and it's been great to see her grow over the years, both in her modeling ability and her buffness. She's now the type of model that has a repertoire of poses she can hit and manipulate on a whim, which is a photographers dream.

What's a photographers nightmare? A model that starts off a shoot by standing there with a blank look on her face, saying, "well, what do I do?" So yeah.. try not to be that person.
