Revenge of the Nerds LIVE in Vegas

I'm a sucker for movie remakes, but what's even better is when the movies are acted out in front of your face in real time. This could have been a possibility at the end of this month in Las Vegas, where Revenge of the Nerds could have come to life before our very eyes.

The Alexis Park hotel, which had been the host hotel for NPC USA patrons for years, is also scheduled to host the people of DefCon 13, a conference for hackers, on the same weekend as the USAs. While I can't confirm whether or not Tri-Lams such as Booger or Poindexter will be there, it would have been great to see two diverse sides of the social spectrum mingle with one another. On one end there's wardriving, Mt. Dew, slashdot and silicon, where the others have chicken breasts, Muscle Milk, gym memberships and.. ::insert rimshot:: silicone.

C'mon, you knew that was coming.

Anyhow, the USA's host hotel is the Embassy Suites this year, so I guess the social experiment will have to wait for another year.

And just to note, if there was indeed a rumble, I'd have to side with my homies on the nerd side. Nerd it up!
