Why
did you become interested in fitness?
I became seriously interested in fitness after reading the very
first Oxygen magazine when it debut. Watching fitness coverage
on t.v. intrigued me even more! I had no formal dance/gymnastics
training but had a strong desire to learn more advanced moves/transitions,
etc. Kary Odiatu assisted many Manitoban's back in 01/02 with
our 1st routines. Luckily I was a ham and felt extremely comfortable
when I took to the stage. I also taught myself [when I was 10
years old] how to do a front handspring, cartwheel and 'walk'
on my hands.
When
did you first start working out?
'Working out' has always been a part of my life since I was
15. I come from a very athletic background, participating
in various team sports in Junior High/High School. I grew
up with 13 other 'active' siblings and my parents never owned
a car…they walked/took a bus everywhere!
What
other physical activities do you enjoy to stay fit?
I love lifting weights, sprinting, doing pilates and yoga. Once
in awhile I'll join in on an aerobics class. In the future I'd
like to take up golf!
What
are your goals within the fitness industry?
To continue enjoying the journey and evolving athletically. To
experience various types of events/competitions/organizations
and demonstrate that age doesn't have to hold you back from accomplishing
your goals!
What
other physical activities do you enjoy to stay fit?
A special thank you to sista-Anne, bro-James, Tina, Theresa, Barbie, Lori, Jackie-Lou,
Christine, Jay & kids, Victor & 'baby-bear' Jamie.
Most of all, my incredible husband Brad. All my other amazing family & friends!
THANKS for all the support, love and for always believing in me. You all mean
the world to me!
