Career
Highlights
2000 Team Universe, when I received my Pro card. This was held
in New York, where I was born and raised, and my family was there
to see me compete. It was their first fitness show.
Why
did you become interested in fitness?
I dove for Ohio State and we did alot of strength training, mostly
power lifting. This got me started and when I graduated, I needed
to find a new competitive arena. Bodybuilding presented itself
and I did it for many years. I eventually switched to fitness
in 1998.
When
did you first start working out?
I began lifting Nautilus equipment when I was 12 years old. This
was a part of our training regiment to help with diving. My coach
was way ahead of his time :) Then, in 1985, I came to Ohio State
to dive for an Olympic coach. He was big into power lifting to
build our legs. He also had us do alot of plyometrics.
What
other physical activities do you enjoy to stay fit?
Snowboarding and adventure races. However, I have put them on
hold for the time being because there is too much likelihood for
injury.
What
are your goals within the fitness industry?
I would like to compete in the Fitness Olympia and be invited
back to the Arnold Classic. That was an awesome event!! I am involved
in the Wish Lift program and would like to support them as best
as I can. This is an amazing program!!! Please visit their site
