Career
Highlights
I have completed the "Danskin Women's Triathlon" in
2000, 2001, & 2002 with an improved time each year. I have
accomplished my goal of decreasing my time with hard speed &
brick workouts. I have also raced in other triathlons, duathlons,
and road bike races.
Why
did you become interested in fitness?
After my second child, I got burned out of running and was introduced
to weight lifting and loved it. I read more and more muscle magazines
and was inspired to improve my body. I could see definition in
my muscles that I really never had before in my upper body due
to being thin and over running. Now as a personal trainer I am
putting my knowledge into building more muscle mass.
When
did you first start working out?
I have always been athletic since childhood. I ran cross country,
track & field, & played tennis. I began lifting weights
around the fall of 99'. Started competing in triathlons in 2000.
I continue to race in them for the competitiveness of it and how
well it keeps me in shape. I still lift weights to give me strength
for my races as well as a defined physique.
What
other physical activities do you enjoy to stay fit?
I love anything outdoors. I like swimming, cycling, running, hiking,
roller blading, etc.
What
are your goals within the fitness industry?
I want to be the best personal trainer I can be to my clients.
I want to help motivate all types of women to achieve their fitness
goals and live happier and healthier lifestyles. I want to comtinue
to improve my triathlon times. I am also pursuing jobs as a fitness
model.
