Photo Finish - Olesya Novik
Wow.
If I had to choose one word to sum up my shoot with newcomer Olesya Novik, that'd be the word. Wow.
Hard to believe that Olesya has never stepped on stage before, although she will in four weeks. It's also hard to believe that this was only her third shoot ever, with the other two taking place in the previous few weeks. Regardless of her sparse resume in the fitness industry, I have a feeling that it won't be long until photographers, sponsors and managers coming knocking at her door.
About the shoot.. I had the unique opportunity to play stylist before the actual photoshoot, as Olesya and I made a little shopping trip to pick up some cool clothes for the shoot. I had an idea of what kind of images and outfit I wanted, and it was so refreshing to work with someone totally open to new ideas and was basically along for the ride.
I busted out every item in my bag of tricks — I admit, its not that big, maybe more like a fanny pack of tricks — and overall I was pretty happy with the resulting images. And I don't like to play favorites, but, too bad.. even after just one shoot, Olesya is one of my all-time favorite people to work with.
So remember the name Olesya Novik. And most of all, remember this — wow.
