The Team Universe and Pro Figure competition just wrapped up in New York City, and we'll be pointing you to all the information this here world wide web can muster up. Be sure to check back over the next day or two for results, photos, and other tidbits revolving around the show.
- Sonia Adcock (right) captured the overall crown in NPC figure, winning a coveted pro card along the way. Two pro cards were handed out in each of the six height classes, so alot of paper was handed out after the show. Those earning pro cards were Adcock and Shleby Right in Class A; Kristi Tauti and Tessa Wood in Class B; Corry Matthews and Amber Steinmetz in Class C; Nina DeTommaso and Jelena Abbou in Class D; Elisha Archibald and Stephanie Collins in Class E; and Cheri Lewis and Amy Fry in Class F.
- Hollie Stewart also scored an overall win in NPC fitness, beating out fellow class winners Karen Patten and Laticia Jackson. Two pro cards were handed out in each of the three height classes, allowing Christy Green, Susan Groshek and Leslie Rae Newton to also earn qualifications at the event.
- Jessica Paxson took first in Pro Figure, beating out seasoned competitors like Tara Scotti and Jennifer Searles. The Top 5 consisted of Paxson, Searles, Scotti, Michelle Flake and Jeannette Freed. Here are the complete placings from the show:

- The Rise and Fall of the Figure Competitor - When comparing to scores from the Junior Nationals last month, a handful of competitors saw some big jumps up, or falls downward, in their placings at the Team U. Among them:

Melissa Froio - 13th at Jr. Nats, but 3rd at Team U (I talked about this stumper here)

well it seems the judges have made themself clear for once on what it is they are looking for!
Also noted were placings for Tamee Marie, Michelle Troll, whose physique has downsized dramatically since last year, Halcyon Duarte who I thought would have placed much higher.
