Ok, so my worst fears have been realized.
Due to my laptop not functioning (I'm at Kinko's now), I wasn't able to cover the actual show because I didn't want to fill up my cards with photos of the 5 bajillion competitors on stage and not have anything available for actual shoots. So no contest shots.. which I could deal with since I had a big shoot with Carla Sanchez' Performance Ready Team after prejudging.
Well, at least that's what was supposed to happen. That shoot was derailed before it even started due to other circumstances (no fault of Carla or any of her girls). So as it stands now, I've got no contest shots, no photo shoot shots, and nothing scheduled for tomorrow. I always come to Vegas expecting to shell out money and not getting anything in return.. but usually it's cause I'm playing Pai Gow Poker, not trying to cover a national NPC show.
On a good note, I got the chance to talk to JM Manion and we were able to hash out a few topics. And even better.. the Embassy Suites has an awesome complimentary breakfast.

Hey Conor! So sorry about your Vegas misfortune!! That sucks! And....I missed your call on Sat. night and didn't get it till I got back into the hotel at 3am!! I forgot my phone in the room! So sorry!! I posted pics on my site (from prejudging) and your welcome to use any of them on your site. You know I'm just using my lil Kodak camera though...lol.
Big ups to San Diego though. Gina's a new Pro!! How awesome for her!! And hey..it wasn't all bad...you got a free omelette huh?! ;)

And no worries Danitza, I know Vegas isn't the easiest place to get in touch with people. It's cool that Gina took her class.. she's come a long way this year. Props to her.. SD represent, yo!
Personally Conor I think the hacker convention that was in town probably had something to do with your misfortune.

But anyways, I was bringing that up more as a clash of social groups more than anything. It was just my rapier like wit that allowed me to utilize a classic 80's movie as a metaphor. I pointed out that I've got a fair share of nerd pedigree running through my veins, so I've got nothin but love for my homies. Plus, they've got skills way beyond mine..
